How Your Brain Reacts During Music Therapy

Published by Sara Chigani on: Oct 01, 2019 — Music Therapy

One of the great things about music therapy is that it can impact your entire brain all at once. Music can be a physical, emotional, developmental, or even spiritual experience. As board-certified music therapists, it is our job to create client specific music therapy interventions to address what the client needs. However, we’re not limited to one aspect. We can work on various things all at once, making music therapy such a dynamic therapy. At KidLinks, we address various aspects through client specific interventions. The graphic below outlines various parts of the brain that are being activated during a music therapy session and how music therapy impacts them.
