The Benefit of Brain Breaks

Do you use brain breaks at home? Teachers have been using movement songs as brain breaks since…. well… forever! Studies indicate that younger kids need to move, and they need to move often. This means that movement should be woven into their daily routine. Usually, parents have expectations of doing homework or chores after school. In my opinion, it is positive to share the work but you may receive some resistance from your kids. So, add a brain break for a few minutes and watch “Imagination.” The attached KidLinks music video is bound to brighten your day and may give your kids a chance to reset after a long day at school.
