I’m A Little Snowflake

Winter is my absolute favorite season of the year. I love relaxing by a nice warm fire with a cup of hot chocolate. I also love playing in snow… although that’s a rarity in North Texas... The few times I’ve experienced snow, I loved watching it slowly fall and just how beautiful it looks. That wonderful experience gave me an idea for this intervention. I have a couple of kiddos who are working on not only counting from 1 to 10, but visually identifying those numbers as well. For this intervention I took the tune to, “I’m A Little Teapot” and created new words to help my clients identify how many snowflakes they see in the visual. In this intervention, I focused on numbers 1 to 10, but you can easily modify to fit your client’s goals. I have included the lyrics below along with the Boom Card for the client to use as you sing the song. I hope you’re able to give this a try and let us know how it goes! Also, feel free to let us know if you have any trouble accessing it. Here’s to winter!

“I’m A Little Snowflake”

(To the tune of “I’m A Little Teapot”)

I’m a little snowflake, small and white

I fall from the sky and I’m made of ice

When the wind blows watch me fly

Let’s count how many fall from the sky…
