It’s starting to finally feel, a little, like fall! Fall is such a great theme to bring into sessions because of all the changes that we see, feel, and hear. With that, we can recreate those changes with instruments or even make those sounds ourselves. This month, I took the song, “The Trolley Song” from the great musical, Meet Me in St. Louis and turned it into a fall version. I used the chorus to insert different things we see, hear, or feel in the fall. Clients can use instruments to recreate those things to create a fall soundscape or try recreating those sounds themselves or even acting out the prompt. This would also be great to do with a group, as they can each add to the prompt and build on top of each other as the song goes along. Some of the lyrics may seem a little fast in the video, but feel free to adjust it as you need in your session(s). I hope this brings some fall festivity into your sessions and be sure to let us know how it goes! Happy fall!
