2021 Social Media Associate Internship - KidLinks

Location - this position is a hybrid of remote / office work and is intended to be flexible to work with school schedule. The office is located at 2904 Floyd Street, Dallas.

Hours/week - 10-15

Intern pay - $15/hr.

About KidLinks:

KidLinks is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides healing, hope, and happiness for children and families through therapeutic music entertainment and music therapy programs and resources. For well over three decades, impacting more than 385,000 children and caregivers, KidLinks has provided healing experiences for children with special needs through performing arts and media, therapeutic music initiatives, university-level music therapy training, and free/low-cost treatment programs.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Programs, the Promotions Manager plays a critical role in promoting KidLinks music to audiences of children, parents, and professional caregivers for mission growth through both in-person and virtual performances and distribution of KidLinks musical assets. This individual identifies and builds strategic direction for song creation while identifying and recruiting new musical talent.

To ensure success, the ideal candidate brings an understanding of the music industry, a strong appreciation for the power of music, and the value of healthy messages for children. He/she has an analytic mindset, fine attention to detail, an appetite for innovative musical content, and can clearly communicate key insights/changes from continuously analyzing campaign performance data to artist relations.

This is the perfect internship for someone who wants to put their marketing or advertising studies to work! The best candidate would be very familiar and engaged in social media. You’ll have the opportunity to think strategically and design social media materials with the goal of increasing engagement with KidLinks.

This individual is high-energy, highly motivated, great with time management, and highly productive. Most of all this individual brings a great attitude and high degree of attention to accurate and high-quality work products and enjoys music!
